June 5, 2015 – Ottawa

This was our day to see part of Ottawa. We walked back to the stairstep locks and saw them from the tourist perspective. We then walked to the ByWard Market area and toured lots of streets checking out all of the variety of vendors. It is a place somewhat like Pike Place Market in Seattle but spread out over a much larger area and interspersed with a myriad of restaurants.

When it was lunch time we went to Zak’s and were bad. We both had Poutine dishes once again. We then spent our time in book shops, upscale doodad stores and when it began to rain we finally returned to the boat to read and nap. We ventured out in the rain once to find out how to get tickets to tour the Canadian Parliament and then returned to Sea To See to read, nap and be lazy.
