The whole morning was supposed to be good traveling weather. We left Leland at 0800 and it was calm. Wind waves from the SE picked up as we crossed the mouth of Good Harbor Bay to about 2 feet. This was reduced as we crossed the mouth of Sleeping Bear Bay and then it was almost Vicki water the next 31 miles to Frankfort.
After mooring at the Municipal Dock I oiled the teak decks again as I had not been able to do this after scrubbing them in De Tour. I was waiting for the deck to get dry enough so it could be oiled. In the few days since De Tour it had accumulated spider webs and bugs sufficient that I needed to vacuum the whole deck again before oiling.
We walked into town and stopped, once again, at the local iconic ice cream shop. We are stuck in a rut as I had the Peanut Butter Chunk and Vicki some kind of chocolate.
Prior to dinner it was Dock Tails on picnic tables on shore with the crews of Knot Home and Reunion. Then dinner, with more corn on the cob and that’s it!
