I was about 13 days behind in posting the blog as we had not been in places where there was any wifi signal or we had a very weak one. I determined the first thing I would do was work on the blog until it was caught up.
The rest of the day was dedicated to chores on the boat that could best be done while we had shore power. The primary job was to strip the door jam that had been splattered with paint in my open hatch faux pas. I used two coats of paint remover and took all of the varnish and paint off before sanding it down. With one coat of Cetol vanish it looks better than it ever has since owning the boat. I hope to add additional coats in the next few days.
Vicki decided another night of birthday celebration would be in order so we got the keys to the marina loaner car and went to a Mexican restaurant. I was given another birthday card and we celebrated with dessert of fried ice cream and flan. Thus ended a productive lay day.
