November 20, 2015 – Friday – Dog River Marina – No Travel

Today they put up Namaste’s masts in short order. That boat certainly looks different with all of the rigging in place.

After seeing Namaste without mast, booms and rigging for 2.5 months it is great to see her fully dressed again

We took the courtesy car to Walmart again to buy some reading lamps that will clip on our teak curtain valence. I bought powerful LED lamps to put in them and they work great. With our aging eyes we had found it difficult to read at night with the cabin lights even though they are just fine for everything else. Good light is becoming more and more important as the days continue to get shorter. Sunrise is now at 6:17 AM and sunset at 4:42 PM.

We were invited aboard Maranatha for Chart Hour and given a tour of the boat. It was impressive and well thought out. The couple has a very interesting background. They shared articles in European boating magazines about their boat construction and travels.

The McFalls joined us for dinner at the Mobile Yacht Club and that concluded another day.
