We did chores all morning. The wind continued to build till it was pretty stiff and coming out of the east – just the direction to send wind waves directly into the opening in the breakwater and hit our boat which was the first one there. As the waves were hitting us on our port beam we rocked. Not normal rocking from larger waves but a constant little jerking motion that began to get to me as I attempted to use the computer to write the blog. By 1130 I was starting to get motion sickness so changed into Thanksgiving dinner garb and went ashore to wait for the 1200 noon pickup by taxis for our run to the PoFolks Restaurant for TG dinner.
It turned out that 14 loopers showed up for our safari to PoFolks. We had a very nice time together. In giving thanks someone suggested that everyone hold hands and recite the Lords Prayer together. This we did and it was a fitting way for a bunch of strangers with varying backgrounds to interact and express thanks. Dinner was a set menu and the food arrived shortly and a good time was had by all.
The rest of the afternoon was spent doing chores including washing the entire boat exterior. The boat was still rocking so when finished with this chore I took one of our deck chairs and put it on the fixed dock so I could read without rocking.
All of the loopers in the marina gathered for docktails at the marina pavilion. Then it was dinner aboard. By now the winds had died down and the boat was sitting still making evening activities enjoyable.
