Winds and thunderstorms were predicted for the afternoon so we made sure we got to the Titusville Municipal Marina and got settled with time to do a little exploring before it all hit. We walked the streets of Titusville and it seemed the town had a very tired business district that they were working hard to rejuvenate. It seems everything moved out of the CBD to the outskirts of town.
We returned to the boat and relaxed for a bit. The storm came in as predicted in the late afternoon/early evening and it was a doozer. It had been awhile since we had much rain and with the high temperatures we had experienced the wood on the boat had dried out significantly. When the deluge hit like a waterfall water found its way through some seems to leak in our bunk area causing the nights sleep to be interrupted. Fortunately we found in succeeding days, with more rain, that the wood had swelled back up and we didn’t experience more leaks.
